Daniel Smith
I'm Daniel, a photographer based in Derbyshire, specialising in fine-art portraits of dogs in the landscape.
For me, the best photographs reveal something of a dog's individual character. I prefer working outdoors, using natural light and beautiful locations to create portraits that feel genuine rather than staged.
My approach is relaxed and unhurried, allowing each dog to be themselves. I also produce beautiful fine-art prints, creating something lasting that you can enjoy for years to come.
More Than a Portrait
I see every dog as an individual, with their own personality, expressions and little quirks.
My photography is about capturing those qualities in the places where dogs feel most at home. Whether it's a quiet woodland or an open stretch of the
Peak District, the landscape becomes part of their story.
I want to create portraits that feel natural, honest and timeless — photographs you'll treasure long after the moment has passed.
